New technologies feature in the 2022-2025 Business Plan as enablers to achieve the objectives that the Group has set itself. The development of artificial intelligence plays a key role in supporting the Bank’s transformation.

Our commitment is to transparently and safely develop artificial intelligence solutions, by adopting a responsible approach based on four principles:

• Explainability, designing models that are explainable to users.
• Fairness, ensuring the code of ethics is complied with in AI models.
• Data Quality, guaranteeing quality and reliability in response outputs.
• Human in the loop, ensuring that there is always a human to supervise or check on the decisions taken using AI models.

We believe that AI is transforming the world, opening up a future with new challenges and new opportunities. The Bank combines the potential of Artificial Intelligence with the expertise of our specialists to create increasingly ambitious projects.

AIxeleration is the programme promoting the adoption of AI in the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, allowing us to keep pace with the changes underway, whilst adding value to our people. More than 150 Artificial Intelligence and Gen AI applications are envisaged by 2025, providing us with an advance understanding of the needs of our employees and Customers, by supporting them on a daily basis to make their day easier thanks to innovative features and promoting training to disseminate a culture of Artificial Intelligence.
