Fighting food poverty
Millions of poor people...Suddenly, Italy doesn’t seem like the same country any more. For this reason, in 2018 Intesa Sanpaolo proceeded with the idea of working with the non-profit Banco Alimentare Onlus Foundation again and strengthening its network. The aim is to provide millions of poor people with food through the charitable organisations that provide them with support in Italy. Seems like a major challenge, right? It’s worth it. We are, without a doubt, leading the way and with this project, we have so far provided millions of meals to people in need, resulting in social, economic, environmental and educational benefits.
In addition, with the Banco Alimentare Onlus Foundation, we collaborate on:
- - the "RE-fished, from illegal trade to food charity" project aimed at the recovery, processing, preservation of seized fish and its distribution to charitable organisations;
- - the Siticibo initiative dedicated to recovery of food surpluses for those who need it most.
