INTESA SANPAOLO: FITCH LOWERS THE BANK’S RATINGS FOLLOWING ITALY’S DOWNGRADE
Torino, Milano, 12 October 2011 – Intesa Sanpaolo communicates that Fitch has lowered the Bank’s long-term debt rating to A (from AA-), its short-term debt rating to F1 (from F1+) and its viability rating to a (from aa-). The outlook is negative.
The above rating action follows Fitch’s downgrading of Italy announced on 7 October 2011.
