Brescia hospital donation brings Civil Protection allocation to €85 million
Intesa Sanpaolo has donated €5 million to Brescia’s ASST degli Spedali Civili hospital for the purchase of medical equipment and supplies needed to treat COVID-19 patients. The gift is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s donation of €100 million to Italy’s Civil Protection Department aimed at strengthening the National Health System to deal with the Coronavirus emergency and others that might arise in the future.
The donation also supports the launch of the international Birth aainst Covid project aimed at creating new protocols, tests, training and diagnostic and therapeutic proposals related to Coronavirus that will enable important improvements in the field of COVID-19 diagnostics.
Brescia is one of the cities most affected by what turned out to be an unprecedented health emergency. Making our solidity available means translating financial results into concrete interventions in the health, social and economic fields, as happens in other territories where Intesa Sanpaolo is present. Helping Brescia means helping the heart of Italy's most productive and industrious.

Furthermore, together with Brescia’s Municipality and Diocese, Intesa Sanpaolo is preparing a concrete program of actions in the area to help the most vulnerable groups and for the economic revitalization of the city, including through innovative impact loans.
