Intesa Sanpaolo hosts the official launch of the Farming for Future Foundation
Intesa Sanpaolo hosted the official launch of the Farming for Future Foundation the platform for innovation, research and concrete proposals for the future of agriculture - whose aim is to bring agriculture to the centre of European policies for the energy and agricultural-ecological transition.
The agri-food sector is strategic for Intesa Sanpaolo, which, through its Agribusiness Department, dedicates various interventions and measures to the world of agriculture, also implemented through partnerships with institutions, associations and the public guarantee system.
The synergy with the Farming for Future Foundation allows Intesa Sanpaolo to activate all the levers to ensure that the Agribusiness sector not only has resources, but also a network of institutional relations it can rely on to guarantee sustainable growth of the sector and quality of production.

Intesa Sanpaolo's Agribusiness Department supports the energy and climate transitions of the Italian agrifood sector through various initiatives focused on energy saving, circular economy, animal welfare, innovative financial management of warehouses, generational transition and access to foreign markets.
Below are some of the initiatives of the Agribusiness Department:
- As part of the "Your Future is Our Business” programme, the Bank is making almost €15 billion available to the more than 84,000 corporate customers of the Agribusiness Department to seize the opportunities offered up by the NRRP and Transition 5.0.
- The Agribusiness Programme which meets the needs and specific requirements of the most important supply chains in the agri-food sector, supports companies throughout all stages of their life cycle by financing innovation, sustainability and generational transition activities.
- The agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (MASAF) and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) under which Intesa Sanpaolo is making €20 billion available to finance projects that increase the relevance and competitiveness of the sector in Italy and abroad.
In order to support companies in managing the effects of climate change, the Agribusiness Department also offers advisory services that enable companies in the agri-food sector to take preventive action by investing in new irrigation tools, anti-hail or defining crop reorientation plans.
