Serbia: EU provides €160 mln for sustainable SME growth, with EIB

Through the partnership between EIB Global, Banca Intesa and Intesa Leasing, the European Union is providing €160 mln for SME financing in Serbia, with the aim of promoting growth, employment and the green transition.

The transaction will benefit around 240 companies and protect approximately 25,000 jobs, increasing the competitiveness of the local economy.

By providing long-term and affordable financing, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group and the EIB are helping to improve the resilience and decarbonisation of the Serbian economy while stimulating job creation, productivity and innovation.

Banca Intesa Beograd, part of the International Banks Division, is the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's bank in Serbia and serves 1.4 million business and retail clients.
