Intesa Sanpaolo finances Stefano Ricci’s international growth with €30 million

Intesa Sanpaolo is financing Stefano Ricci with €30 million to support its international expansion plans and investments, including:

  • opening of boutiques
  • interior design for luxury and hospitality
  • acquisition of strategic suppliers and internalisation of the supply chain.

More specifically, the funding will support the expansion of Stefano Ricci’s retail network with the opening of new directly operated mono-brand stores in the United States (Washington D.C. and Scottsdale), China (Chengdu and Shenzhen), Mexico City and India. New franchised stores are also planned in Ho Chi Minh City and Almaty.

The financing is part of the commitment by Intesa Sanpaolo to support Italian SMEs aiming to grow internationally, as demonstrated by the recent mission to San Francisco alongside twelve outstanding Italian businesses.

It is also part of the Bank’s specific focus on the fashion and luxury sectors, especially in this period of uncertainty in international markets, with the goal of enhancing the global distinctiveness of Made in Italy.

Stefano Ricci is a Florence-based company and a leader in high-end lifestyle, bespoke menswear and accessories, exclusively made in Italy. Founded as a small manufacturing business, it now employs 800 people worldwide, with 52 directly operated boutiques and 31 franchised stores across Europe, the CIS, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
