Intesa Sanpaolo leads €38 million pooled financing for Acque Bresciane
8 October 2025
The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo has taken part – alongside a pool of banks – in a €38 million financing for Acque Bresciane, the sole manager of the Brescia water service.
The new three-year credit line will allow Acque Bresciane to anticipate contributions from Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), granted to companies playing a strategic role in the ecological transition. It will also finance infrastructure upgrades focused on sustainability across the Brescia area.
The main projects supported by this financing include:
- the construction of the Alta e Media Valle Trompia inter-municipal aqueduct
- the expansion and upgrading of wastewater treatment plants in Calcinato-Calcinatello, Leno, Poncarale and Mairano
- the modernisation and efficiency improvements of water infrastructure, digitalisation and network monitoring.
This new facility follows the €202 million financing agreed in 2021 and the €55 million signed in 2024.
The transaction confirms the IMI CIB Division’s commitment to supporting strategic infrastructure projects that contribute to regional development and the ecological transition.
