Record Q3 and 9M: 2026 Net income guidance upgraded to well above €10bn
3 November 2026
Intesa Sanpaolo posted record nine-month Net income of €8.2 billion, including more than €2.6 billion in the third quarter – also a third quarter record.
These excellent and sustainable results – delivered despite an almost €1 billion tax impact from Italy’s 2026 Budget Law – have enabled Intesa Sanpaolo to upgrade its 2026 Net income guidance to well above €10 billion.
Annualised Return on Equity (ROE) reached 21%, with an annualised Return on Tangible Equity of 26%, while earnings per share (EPS) increased by 10% year-on-year.
In the first nine months of the year, Intesa Sanpaolo recorded its highest-ever revenues, while Customer financial assets grew to more than €1.5 trillion, reflecting continued commercial momentum.
Intesa Sanpaolo continues to offer one of the highest and most sustainable dividend yields in European banking. This year, the Bank is returning €9.4 billion to shareholders through dividends and buybacks, including a €3.8 billion interim dividend to be paid in November.
Execution of the 2026-2029 Business Plan is proceeding at full speed, with 100% initiatives already launched. The Monte dei Paschi di Siena transaction represents a further opportunity for value creation, fully consistent with Intesa Sanpaolo’s disciplined approach to growth. The transaction will accelerate execution of the Business Plan, with zero integration risk.
