Intesa Sanpaolo, through its Agribusiness Department, is supporting the development plans in Italy and abroad of Spreafico Francesco & F.lli S.p.A., a leading company in the fruit and vegetable sector, with €12 million in financing backed by a SACE guarantee.
The transaction is part of the commitment of the Banca dei Territori Division to support investment by Italian agrifood SMEs.
The financing is mainly intended for the Fiano Romano distribution logistics center, for the purchase of the property and new refrigeration systems.. The operation forms part of a broader investment plan by the Spreafico Group aimed at strengthening distribution capacity and improving operational efficiency.
Recently, Intesa Sanpaolo has earmarked €10 billion in new credit for agrifood supply chains, as part of the €410 billion the Group has committed to initiatives linked to Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. This complements the Supply Chain Development Programme, which includes 172 active contracts in the agrifood sector, involving more than 8,500 suppliers and improving access to credit across the supply chain. Further support for investment by Italian companies is also provided by the new ‘Crescere per competere’ initiative, a strategic approach dedicated to extraordinary finance for SMEs.
