Intesa Sanpaolo has been recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the best employers in Europe and, for the fifth year in a row, as a Top Employer in Italy by Top Employers Institute, the global body certifying excellence in human resources practices. The recognition also extends to the Group’s international banks in Albania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia and Romania.
People-centred transformation and innovation
The award acknowledges Intesa Sanpaolo’s ability to drive organisational transformation and innovation while keeping people at the core of its strategy. The Group’s approach focuses on employee wellbeing, skills development and talent attraction, supporting the evolution of banking towards future business models.
Welfare, inclusion and work-life balance
Over time, Intesa Sanpaolo has introduced innovative organisational models designed to promote work-life balance and a dynamic working environment. The Group has developed one of the most comprehensive second-level welfare systems, alongside inclusion initiatives and parental support measures.
Among the most recent measures supporting the Group’s people are:
- a €1,200 birth bonus extended to all newborn children
- additional paid leave of up to 12 hours per week; alternatively, a four-day working week available until children reach three years of age
- comprehensive and structured second-level welfare systems.
Skills and professional development
Intesa Sanpaolo stands out for advanced training and professional development programmes, including the launch of Academy4Future, a new training hub aimed at equipping employees with the skills required for the future of banking. These initiatives, combined with competitive career paths, reinforce the Group’s attractiveness in the international talent market.
Top Employers assessment framework
The Top Employers Programme evaluates organisations based on the HR Best Practices Survey, which assesses six key areas: People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
