“In a highly uncertain global environment, SMEs can rely on consistent support from Intesa Sanpaolo, both financially and in terms of advisory services,” said Massimiliano Cattozzi, Head of the Agribusiness Department within Intesa Sanpaolo’s Banca dei Territori Division, at Vinitaly 2026.
“With €1.5 billion in new credit available and an advisory model leveraging the Group’s synergies, the Agribusiness Department is able to offer companies in the sector a unique level of support in Italy for mergers and acquisitions, generational transition and the opening of new facilities, including abroad, which are also of particular interest to wine industry operators,” Cattozzi added.
At Vinitaly 2026, Intesa Sanpaolo renews its collaboration with the leading industry exhibition for the fifth consecutive year, strengthening dialogue with companies and stakeholders across the supply chain. The bank’s presence is part of a structured support strategy for a sector that is central to the Italian economy and exports:
- more than 7,000 SMEs are already clients and active across the main Italian wine value chains
- around 600 agri-food companies, based on size and value, are potentially ready to embark on growth paths through innovative Corporate Finance solutions, including structured finance, IPOs, M&A, generational transition and governance management
Tools for competitiveness, innovation and sustainability
Intesa Sanpaolo’s Agribusiness Department provides a comprehensive range of solutions tailored to wine sector companies:
- investment and working capital financing
