New Altitude launches in Turin to accelerate startup growth
28 October 2026
Turin is strengthening its innovation ecosystem with the launch of New Altitude, a platform promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT, together with Neva Sgr as investment partner.
The initiative combines direct investment and operational support to help high-potential innovative startups scale internationally. It provides access to capital, expertise, networks and business development opportunities, supporting startups through the most critical stages of their growth journey.
More specifically, the program offers:
- investments ranging from €200,000 to €400,000 per startup, through equity or quasi-equity instruments, tailored to each company's stage of development
- 12 months of personalized operational support
- support for up to 30 companies during the first three years.
Selected startups will gain access to specialist workshops, mentors, international experts, and opportunities to engage with investors and entrepreneurs. New Altitude will also facilitate connections with universities, research centers, companies and local institutions.
The platform primarily targets Italian and international early-stage startups that already have a validated product and demonstrated market interest.
"Through a model that combines capital, expertise and industrial connections, we aim to attract and nurture talent, support the international growth of innovative companies, and help make Turin's ecosystem increasingly dynamic, competitive and resilient, capable of generating sustainable development for the country"
Viviana Bacigalupo, General Manager, Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center
According to the Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2026 by Startup Genome, the value of Turin's startup ecosystem has increased by 130% since 2021, reaching approximately $3 billion. New Altitude is launching within this context with the aim of strengthening the area's ability to attract talent, investment and innovative businesses.
The platform therefore seeks to contribute to positioning Turin as a leading European innovation hub by creating favorable conditions for the establishment and growth of technology companies with global ambitions.
Applications will be open throughout the year, with proposals assessed on a rolling basis. Admission to the platform, mentoring activities, and engagement with investors will therefore follow the development timelines and priorities of each individual startup.
Interested startups can express their interest in the initiative by sending their pitch deck to pitch@prontoventures.vc.
