Neva SGR: €600 million raised to support innovation

Neva SGR, the venture capital company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, has presented the results achieved over six years of activity: €600 million in capital raised, €273 million invested and a portfolio spanning some of the most innovative sectors of the global economy.
Since 2020, Neva SGR has expanded its activities through six venture capital funds: Neva First, Neva First Italia, Fondo SEI Sviluppo Ecosistemi di Innovazione, Neva II, Neva II Italia and Fondo Neva II Parallelo Lombardia.
Through these funds, Neva SGR has invested in more than 50 innovative companies in Italy and abroad, as well as in Italian funds dedicated to fostering innovation. Exit activities have generated approximately €55 million in proceeds, while available capital will continue to support new initiatives and follow-on investments in the most promising portfolio companies.

Despite the challenging global environment of recent years, Neva SGR has continued to grow, reinforcing the role of innovation as a key driver of competitiveness for the Italian and European economic system, while also representing a significant investment opportunity.
Investments addressing global challenges
Many of the companies backed by Neva SGR anticipated major market trends and are now regarded as benchmarks in the transformation of strategic sectors.
Key areas of activity include:
- biotechnology and advanced therapies
- space economy and satellite infrastructure
- energy storage and the energy transition
- agritech and agricultural digitalisation
- technologies supporting hybrid work
These companies are developing innovative solutions to major global challenges, demonstrating how venture capital can help accelerate growth and the adoption of breakthrough technologies.
The results achieved by Neva SGR, which is wholly owned by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, and the key challenges facing the global innovation ecosystem were the focus of the Annual Meeting, entitled “Connecting Innovation to Growth”. The event brought together investors, entrepreneurs, institutions and innovation stakeholders in Turin.
