Intesa Sanpaolo's voluntary sustainability reports 2025 have been published
April 2, 2026
Today, as for the year 2024, Intesa Sanpaolo published a comprehensive set of voluntary sustainability reports that discloses the ESG results achieved over the 2022-2025 Business Plan and, leveraging these results, outlines the strategic guidelines for the new 2026-2029 Business Plan, confirming its commitment to sustainability. The reporting set consists of:
- SDGs Report, which outlines the Group's contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on commitments, actions, initiatives, and results that contribute to the SDGs;
- Climate Report, dedicated to the reporting of climate-related information;
- Responsible Banking Progress Statement, which presents the progress made with respect to the Principles for Responsible Banking of UNEP FI, the United Nations Environment Programme dedicated to the financial sector.
These voluntary documents accompanied the Consolidated Sustainability Reporting, included in a dedicated section of the Management Report of the Consolidated Financial Statements, as required by the legislation implementing the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in Italy.
The three reports, in addition to quantitative and qualitative information, also include in-depth analyses and case studies.
The Modern Slavery Statement has also been published. This is a document published annually in accordance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018.
Intesa Sanpaolo has achieved and, in many cases, exceeded the ESG targets set in its 2022–2025 Business Plan despite the challenging macroeconomic environment. The new 2026–2029 Plan consolidates its social commitment, allocating €1 billion to initiatives against poverty and inequality, and supports its customers' sustainable transition: 30% of new medium- to long-term loans over the Business Plan period will be dedicated to social and environmental activities, while continuing its commitment to decarbonization.
