Social Impact Assessment of Third Sector Initiatives 2025

Intesa Sanpaolo has updated its report on the results of the social impact assessment of Third Sector initiatives for 2025, introducing a new section dedicated to projects financed since 2022.

The social impact assessment, carried out by the Impact Department of the Banca dei Territori Division, is based on the “RIM  (report on impact) data collection form”, compiled by clients.

Since 2022, more than 2,500 new Third Sector initiatives financed by the Bank have been recorded through the RIM form, for a total amount of €722 million.

The expected social impact value of these initiatives exceeds €2.2 billion, corresponding to an SROI of 3.1: every euro invested generates more than three euro in social benefits.

The social impact assessment has been complemented by a traditional economic analysis aimed at estimating direct, indirect and induced effects along the value chain, increasing the total impact value by nearly €1 billion.
