The SEED Project to Raise Awareness About Gender Discrimination
I am Marzia Scuderi, a pedagogue and Head of the “Care Projects” at Fondazione Libellula.
Fondazione Libellula aims to prevent and combat violence against women and gender discrimination to ensure equitable social development. A society where individuals can participate in shared decision-making, opportunities, and resources.
Since 2017, we have created a Network of over 110 companies committed to implementing projects to prevent gender-based violence, starting in workplaces. We operate in schools, hospitals, and communities, involving women, minors, families, men, and local territories.
New Spaces to Promote an Inclusive Culture Thanks to the Charity Fund
Thanks to the Intesa Sanpaolo Charity Fund, we created the SEED project – Development, Education, and Empowerment Against Discrimination, an initiative aimed at promoting an inclusive culture and combating all forms of discrimination, particularly gender-based.
We provide listening services, psychological support, and job reintegration programs for women at risk or victims of violence. For minors, adolescents, and parents, we organize educational workshops within the “Spazio Libellula” in Milan to raise awareness of issues such as gender differences, emotional education, and rights.
The project promotes the empowerment of women, men, and communities by developing initiatives that encourage active citizenship, respect for differences, financial literacy, and personal self-esteem.
The contribution from the Charity Fund has also allowed us to create opportunities to reduce social isolation, promote positive and shared parenting models, and train educational communities.
We advise other organizations interested in collaborating with the Intesa Sanpaolo Charity Fund to identify a real need in their territory and implement initiatives that enhance their specific skills, creating synergies to maximize their impact.
