Intesa Sanpaolo strengthens its Wealth Management Division governance
15 April 2026
Intesa Sanpaolo’s Wealth Management Division, led by Tommaso Corcos, introduces two new strategic coordination units to strengthen governance of key activities and support growth plans in Italy and international markets.
New units for digital transformation and strategic growth
The Wealth Management Division’s updated organizational structure includes:
- Digital Transformation Coordination, led by Luca Bortolan, focusing on the technological evolution of commercial and operational platforms and the expansion of digital wealth management
- Strategic Development Initiatives Coordination, led by Gianluca La Calce, responsible for driving international commercial expansion projects
The new structure aims to improve coordination among the Group’s main wealth management entities — Fideuram, Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking and Eurizon — evolving towards an increasingly integrated advisory model, encompassing not only investments but also protection, retirement planning and generational wealth transfer.
Alignment with the Business Plan and competitive strengthening
“The Business Plan of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, presented in February, identifies the Wealth Management Divisions as one of the key drivers of growth. Our aim is to further strengthen the positioning of our activities in Italy and to expand internationally. The reinforcement of our managerial structure, following today’s announcements, will make a significant contribution to our growth prospects”
Tommaso Corcos, Head of Wealth Management Divisions at Intesa Sanpaolo
In particular, the Division aims to replicate across major European markets a model already successfully implemented by Fideuram in Luxembourg and Belgium, based on the integration of physical presence and digital offering.
This approach enables the Group to serve a broad range of client segments, from high and ultra-high net worth individuals to upper affluent clients, combining personalized advisory services with digital platforms.
