Webranking 2021 Italy and Europe
The “Webranking 2021 Italy” e “Europe Webranking 2021" researches realized by Lundquist-Comprend evaluate the quality of communication and transparency on the digital channels of the main respectively Italian and European companies listed on the stock exchange.
Intesa Sanpaolo has been confirmed in the group of "Best Improvers" moving from 19th to 17th place in the Italian ranking and from 28th to 19th place in the European ranking, gaining the inclusion in the European top 20.
A special mention has been received as best performer in sustainability thanks to the representation of the sustainability strategy that integrates the quantitative aspects with specific objectives and with the narration of concrete initiatives and the presence of interactive data. It has been positively reported also the approach of the story relating to stakeholder engagement.
Brandon Hall Group – 2021 Technology Excellence Awards
Intesa Sanpaolo was awarded the silver medal in the 3 categories: Best Advance in Corporate Well-being Technology, for its technology at the service of people’s well-being within the company and for the benefits generated by CareLab and Vetrina dei Servizi and Consultation and Support; Best Advance in Time and Labor Management thanks to the #People Planning and Booking tool; Best Advance in Mobile Learning Technology, for the training app dedicated to some professional areas within the Banca dei Territori Division.

Oscar di Bilancio - Special Prize Non-financial Statement
Intesa Sanpaolo wins the 2021 Oscar di Bilancio - Special Prize Non-financial Statement.
The Oscar di Bilancio is an award, promoted by FERPI (Italian Federation of Public Relations), Borsa Italiana and Bocconi University, which annually rewards the most virtuous companies in reporting and in managing relationships with stakeholders.
The recognition to Intesa Sanpaolo confirms the Group's ability to report in a complete and transparent way, through its 2020 Consolidated Non-financial Statement, the commitments and results in the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) area in line with the objectives and values declared at a strategic level, responding to the expectations of its stakeholders who are involved in a systematic process of listening and dialogue.

Euromoney – Awards for Excellence 2021
The Bank retained its position as Best Bank in Italy, a prestigious recognition also obtained last year. The main reasons that led the Bank to achieve this accolade include the support provided to the real economy during the pandemic and for the post-pandemic recovery, its leadership as an impact Bank, the social and environmental sustainability measures, as well as the technology services provided to customers.
AIPSA - Cyber Resilience amid a Global Pandemic
Intesa Sanpaolo ranked first, for the second consecutive year, among the leading Italian companies in the “Cyber Resilience amid a Global Pandemic” competition organised by AIPSA (Associazione Italiana Professionisti Security Aziendale), in collaboration with Spike Reply.

ABI - Premio Innovazione per i Servizi Bancari (Innovation Award for Banking Services)
Corporate Customer Category for having implemented a new “multi-channel”, “paperless” Bank-Company relationship model, for the subscription of products and services remotely by introducing a new “corporate digital identity” concept; Covid Emergency Category for the award-winning project “Collaboration between Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Ospedale Sacco in Milan” dedicated to coronavirus research.
The Banker – Bank of the Year in Western Europe e Bank of the Year in Italy
Intesa Sanpaolo is the first Italian bank to be recognised as the best bank in Western Europe. Special importance was attached to the role played by the Intesa Sanpaolo Group in supporting the country’s economy and to the numerous social impact initiatives taken during the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the bank’s leading role in the development of Italy’s green economy. Intesa Sanpaolo also obtained recognition in Croatia and Serbia with the Bank of the Year awards in Croatia for PBZ and Bank of the Year in Serbia for Banca Intesa Beograd.

S&P Global Sustainability Award Bronze Class 2021
Intesa Sanpaolo has been included in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook 2021, receiving the Sustainability Award Bronze Class 2021 for its sustainability performances. The Sustainability Yearbook publishes the annual ranking of the world's most sustainable companies.
S&P Global is the company that evaluates companies for their inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices annually.
Green Building Council - (Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance – EB O&M)
In 2021 the Turin Skyscraper obtained confirmation of the 2019 LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the Green Building Council in the sustainable management category. In 2015 the New Headquarters had already received the LEED Platinum certification for the construction of the building, thanks to the design features and the technological solutions adopted.

Global 100 - Corporate Knights
The Canadian Corporate Knights magazine confirms Intesa Sanpaolo - the only Italian bank - among the 100 most sustainable companies in the world; about 8,000 companies were evaluated compared to 24 indicators that analyze, among others, the issues relating to environmental sustainability, human resources, gender equality, revenues from green goods and services, commitment to sustainability.
