Intesa Sanpaolo is the best Italian bank and among the Top10 Italian companies for sustainability communication on digital channels according to Lundquist's .sustainability research, which involved 85 Italian companies.
The result achieved by Intesa Sanpaolo is mainly due to its ability to integrate the ESG strategy into the business and the concrete reporting of results. This is the mention: Intesa Sanpaolo dedicates a section of its institutional website to the telling not only of its commitment and business model but also of projects and events in a way that touches on key aspects of its sustainability, from ESG projects for SMEs to initiatives in the field of sport and innovation.
Reputation Manager - ESG Perception Index 2023
Intesa Sanpaolo ranked first in the ESG Perception Index 2023 by Reputation Manager, a leading company in Italy in reputation analysis and management. The semi-annual ranking includes the top 200 Italian companies perceived as most sustainable on the web. The analysis model assesses how close a brand is to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN.

Intesa Sanpaolo has been confirmed at the top in Europe for investor relations and ESG aspects by Institutional Investor, an independent research provider that has been in business for over 50 years – the awards are based on the results of a broad survey conducted among more than 1,600 institutional investors and financial analysts. In particular:
- first in Europe for relations with institutional investors and financial analysts
- first for ESG aspects among European banks for the fourth year
- Carlo Messina is Best European CEO for the sixth year
- Stefano Del Punta is Best CFO for the seventh year
- Marco Delfrate is first among IR Professionals for the sixth year
Intesa Sanpaolo’s Board of Directors also once again placed first among European banks, in the specific ranking introduced last year.
Best Company (Large Cap) in the global ESG Corporate Award ranking for DE&I
Intesa Sanpaolo ranked first in the global ESG Corporate Award ranking, in the Best Company for Diversity Equity & Inclusion category, among large cap companies. The ranking was created by ESG Investing Global Markets Media Ltd, a financial media company based in UK. The assessments are carried out by an independent jury made up of financial market professionals, academic figures and experts in the ESG field. The award confirms the Group's commitment to gender equality and to the creation of an inclusive working environment, which enhances the diversity of each individual, as also defined in the 2022-2025 Business Plan.
World's Best Companies 2023 - Statista and Time
Intesa Sanpaolo was included in the World's Best Companies 2023 ranking created by Statista and Time, ranking third in Italy in the Banking & Financial Services category. The ranking takes into consideration three factors: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability commitment. Statista is one of the world's leading economic research companies. Time is one of the most authoritative international news magazines based in the United States.

Integrated Governance Index - IGI
Intesa Sanpaolo confirmed its leadership position among the ESG Identity Top Performers within the Integrated Governance Index (IGI), positioning itself for the first time among the TOP 10 in the overall ranking (which comprises an Ordinary and Extraordinary Area) and in 3rd place in the ranking of the Extraordinary Area, which rewarded for the first time the evolution of the concept of ESG Identity into a "Azienda Politica", i.e. a company aware of its impacts on Environmental, Social and Governance factors and how managing these impacts towards the community (the polis) is a factor in becoming more competitive: toward the market, toward the regulator, toward finance. 98 companies from different sectors participated in the survey.

"Innovation of the Year" Award - ESG Securitization Awards 2023
Intesa Sanpaolo has been recognized as the best bank in Europe in the "Innovation of the Year" category at the ESG Securitization Awards, by the online international financial information magazine Structured Credit Investor.
The awarded banks were chosen taking into account the development of new ESG segments, the capacity for innovation in terms of transaction structuring, the volume of transactions carried out and the active credit risk management model.
Intesa Sanpaolo has stood out for its proprietary ESG rating model, developed within the Financial Market Coverage Head Office Department and integrated into important decision-making processes, which provides a qualitative-quantitative assessment of the ESG profile of client companies with the aim to encourage new disbursements to customers with a high ESG score, in line with the internal model, and to broaden the base of investors more sensitive to financial sustainability issues, increasingly involved in synthetic securitisation transactions finalized by the Group on the capital market.
HVG and Planet Fanatics’ Network ESG ranking
CIB Bank was recognized among the top 100 companies in Hungary as the first bank and second company for the maturity of its ESG reporting. The award has been assigned by the business weekly HVG in collaboration with the sustainability consultant Planet Fanatics’Network and was based on officially disclosed/published non-financial reports or sustainability reports referred to FY2021.

Intesa Sanpaolo is the winner of the Italian Award 2023 as "Innovative Financial Institution for the year 2022".
The Group stood out in 6 of the 8 thematic categories, including "CSR and Sustainability" with the projects "Golden Links: links are golden" and "ESG Laboratory".

2023 Clean 200 - As You Sow e Corporate Knights
Intesa Sanpaolo was included for the first time in the 2023 Clean 200TM ranking, drawn up in collaboration with the non-profit organization As You Sow, and Corporate Knights. The ranking includes the 200 listed companies most committed to leading the ecological transition globally. Intesa Sanpaolo is the only Italian bank and the second in Europe in the ranking.
S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 - Top 10% ESG Score 2022
Intesa Sanpaolo has been confirmed in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 - Top 10% ESG Score 2022. The Sustainability Yearbook publishes the annual ranking of the world's most sustainable companies.
S&P Global is the company that evaluates companies for their inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices annually.

For the second consecutive year, Intesa Sanpaolo received the prestigious Top Employer certification from the Top Employers Institute, the global certifying body of excellence in the HR field.
