Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment to a low-carbon economy was recognised by ET Index Research, which is a company dedicated to helping investors understand, manage and reduce carbon risk.
Our Bank received the 2016 ET Carbon Industry Leader award, which is particularly important as investors show a growing interest in companies that pay attention to this aspect.
During an event held on December 14 at the University of Milan, the Orto Urbano project, implemented in the Milan headquarters of the Intesa Sanpaolo Insurance Division, has been rewarded among the initiatives promoting well-being and work-life balance within the program Workplace Health Promotion Lombardia.
October 2016
On October 20, during the Green Globe Banking Conference held in Milan, the Green Globe Banking Award, recognition for the green best practices in banking sector, Indirect Impacts category, is given to Banca Prossima, bank of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. The winning project was the "energy efficiency" program for non-profit organizations launched by Banca Prossima with Federesco (Federation of Italian Energy Service Company).

On the occasion of the Giornata Nazionale per l’Innovazione (National Day dedicated to Innovation), the President of the Republic of Italy, Hon. Sergio Mattarella awarded the "Digital Factory" project the Premio Nazionale per l’Innovazione "Premio dei Premi" (National Award for Innovation), which aims to support innovation within the business sector, academic and public research community, government and service sector, with the following motivation "for having built a method of working and managing the innovation in banking services that revolutionizes the bank's internal organization, and aiming at involving the best skills and methodologies in order to accelerate implementation of the initiatives".

SMAU 2016 Innovation Award
Within the 2016 edition of SMAU Turin, key event in the digital and innovation sectors for companies and Italian professionals, the Group has been awarded for the Tech-Marketplace project, the first digital platform in Italy that promotes interaction between start-ups and businesses, and for the Smart Working project, that is aimed at enhancing the quality of the employees' life.

Diversity&Inclusion Award 2016
Intesa Sanpaolo is rewarded once again with the "Diversity & Inclusion Award Diversitalavoro", which is given to companies that promote policies to provide work for disadvantaged people, aiming at enhancing talent and skills.
In the Doxa Reputation Banking 2016 survey, the point of view of the opinion leaders interviewed about Intesa Sanpaolo is decidedly positive. Particularly highlighted are its commitment to cultural and social activities and the perception of greater openness to providing loans, especially in recent years.

2016 Newsweek Green Rankings
Intesa Sanpaolo has been listed among the top green companies in the world in the ranking launched by Newsweek in partnership with Corporate Knights and HIP Investor, which assesses the environmental performance of the 500 largest publicly-traded companies worldwide. An important achievement, which is increasingly indicative of our commitment to safeguarding the environment.

In the 12th edition of the AIFIn "Premio Cerchio d'Oro dell'Innovazione Finanziaria" (Golden Circle for Financial Innovation Award) Intesa Sanpaolo was awarded in the category Distributive Channels and Customer Experience for the Customer Experience and Branch Layout project. In the category Operations, Organization, IT and HR a Mention of Merit was assigned to the Bank for the project Flexible Work and to Intesa Sanpaolo Group Services for Digital Factory - Innovare e digitalizzare i processi della Banca (Innovating and digitising Bank's processes).

Intesa Sanpaolo, for its sustainability performances, was included in the Sustainability Yearbook 2016 published by Robeco SAM, that every year evaluates companies for their inclusion in Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, and received the Bronze Class Sustainability Award.
