 Intesa Sanpaolo is once again Europe’s leading bank for relations with institutional investors and financial analysts and for Best ESG Program, according to the 2024 survey by the research firm Extel (formerly Institutional Investor Research).

The rankings by Extel – which are based on a broad survey of around 1,800 institutional investors and financial analysts 

In particular:

• first in Europe for relations with institutional investors and financial analysts
• first for ESG aspects among European banks for the fifth year
• Carlo Messina is Best European CEO for the seventh year
• Stefano Del Punta is Best CFO for the eigth year
• Marco Delfrate is first among IR Professionals for the seventh year

Intesa Sanpaolo’s Board of Directors also once again placed first among European banks, in the specific ranking introduced last year.

2024 Global Banking & Finance Awards

Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania was awarded at the 2024 Global Banking & Finance Awards® as “Best Bank for Sustainable Development Albania” and “Best Renewable Energy Financing Albania”. In particular, the bank's proactive approach to financing green initiatives, such as the landmark Karavasta Solar project, and its dedication to promoting a sustainable economy were recognized, highlighting its pivotal role in advancing Albania's financial and environmental landscape.
The Global Banking & Finance Awards® have been assigned by the international magazine, since 2011, to institutions that demonstrate exceptional skills and progress in the financial sector.

ESG Identity Corporate Index 2024

Intesa Sanpaolo confirmed its position among the ESG Identity Top Performers, ranking seventh position in the overall TOP 10 ranking. The index synthetically expresses the positioning of companies on the existing safeguards and processes for the management of sustainability issues, summarizing the degree of progress in sustainability governance.

Reputation Manager - ESG Perception Index 2024  

Intesa Sanpaolo ranked first in the ESG Perception Index 2024 by Reputation Manager, a leading company in Italy in reputation analysis and management. The semi-annual ranking includes the top 200 Italian companies perceived as most sustainable on the web. The analysis model assesses how close a brand is to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN.

HVG and Planet Fanatics’ Network ESG ranking  

CIB Bank was recognized among the top 100 companies in Hungary as the first bank and third company for the maturity of its ESG reporting. The award has been assigned by the business weekly HVG in collaboration with the sustainability consultant Planet Fanatics’Network  and was based on officially disclosed/published non-financial reports, sustainability reports and online published information.

Morningstar Sustainalytics – 2024 ESG Top-Rated Companies List 

Intesa Sanpaolo has been included in the 2024 ESG Top-Rated Companies List, which includes the companies with the best ESG Risk Ratings by Sustainalytics. The companies are distinguished by the attribution of a badge: Intesa Sanpaolo has obtained the 2024 ESG Top-Rated Industry and 2024 ESG Top-Rated Regional badges.

S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 - Top 10% Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) Score 2023

Intesa Sanpaolo has been confirmed in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 - Top 10% CSA Score 2023. The Sustainability Yearbook publishes the annual ranking of the world's most sustainable companies.

S&P Global is the company that evaluates companies for their inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices annually.

Top Employer 2024

For the third consecutive year, Intesa Sanpaolo received Top Employer certification from the Top Employers Institute, the global certifying body of excellence in the HR field.

Intesa Sanpaolo's best practices were positively evaluated by an HR Best Practices Survey conducted during 2023, which recognized the Group's commitment to corporate well-being and the digital efficiency of workspaces, diversity & inclusion, of ethics and integrity and sustainability.

Privredna Banka Zagreb (PBZ) and VUB Banka also individually obtained certification, with PBZ being Top Employer Croatia for the second time, while for VUB this is the first recognition as Top Employer Slovakia.
