MF ESG Awards

Intesa Sanpaolo was recognized as the best bank for ESG commitment "for the extensive use of formal references to the issues in public documentation and governance tools (including the Code of Conduct)".

MF ESG Awards is conferred by Class Editori, through Milano Finanza and Class Cnbc, to celebrate the companies with the best performance in terms of environmental, social and governance sustainability. It is based on the ratings of Standard Ethics. 

Corporate Knights - 2025 Europe 50 Most sustainable Corporations ranking

Intesa San Paolo was included in the first edition of the 2025 Europe 50 Most Sustainable Corporations ranking by Corporate Knights, a Canadian company operating in  sustainability with over 20 years of experience. 
The 2025 Europe 50 list, represents 14 countries and 31 industries, underscores that European companies are setting the tone for global sustainability efforts, with standout performance in sustainable revenue, investment, and governance practice.
At the beginning of this year, Intesa Sanpaolo was also included in the Corporate Knight Top 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the world.  

Extel

 Intesa Sanpaolo is once again Europe’s leading bank for relations with institutional investors and financial analysts and for Best ESG Program, according to the 2025 survey by the research firm Extel (formerly Institutional Investor Research).

The rankings by Extel – which are based on a broad survey of around 1,750 institutional investors and financial analysts 

In particular:

• Carlo Messina, Best CEO in European banking for the eighth year
• Intesa Sanpaolo Board of Directors, voted Best Company Board for the fourth consecutive year
• Luca Bocca, Best CFO, in his first year since being appointed Intesa Sanpaolo’s CFO
• Marco Delfrate, Best Investor Relations Professional for the eighth consecutive year
• For ESG aspects (strategy, engagement, and disclosure), Intesa Sanpaolo ranked first among European banks for the sixth consecutive year
• Best Investor Relations team for the eighth consecutive year

ESG Identity Corporate Index 2025

Intesa Sanpaolo confirmed its position among the Top Performers in ESG Identity, ranking fourth in the overall TOP 10 and first in the Finance sector. The index summarises companies' positioning on existing measures and processes for managing sustainability issues, summarizing their level of progress in sustainability governance.

Ranking on the effectiveness of communication on online channels with particular reference to sustainability issues. Intesa Sanpaolo has been recognized as the first bank among 54 financial companies examined in Europe.

Equileap – Top 100 Women’s equality in the workplace

Intesa Sanpaolo is included in the Equileap Top Ranking 2025 among the 100 best companies in the world for gender equality.

Equileap is a pioneering organization in evaluating and ranking 6,000 companies worldwide on equality and diversity, using a unique research methodology.

S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025 - Top 10% Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) Score 2024

Intesa Sanpaolo has been confirmed in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025 - Top 10% CSA Score 2024. The Sustainability Yearbook publishes the annual ranking of the world's most sustainable companies.

S&P Global is the company that evaluates companies for their inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices annually.

Morningstar Sustainalytics – 2025 ESG Top-Rated Companies List 

Intesa Sanpaolo has been included in the 2025 ESG Top-Rated Companies List, which includes the companies with the best ESG Risk Ratings by Sustainalytics. The companies are distinguished by the attribution of a badge: Intesa Sanpaolo has obtained the 2025 ESG Top-Rated Industry and 2025 ESG Top-Rated Regional badges.
