As part of the fifth edition of the Banca e Territorio Award established by AIFIn (Italian Association of Financial Innovation), Intesa Sanpaolo was ranked 2nd in the following categories: Social Initiatives with the Project "Prossima Terzo Valore”, presented by Banca Prossima; Initiatives to protect and support the environment with the project "Intesa Sanpaolo Group for the environment", which includes all the initiatives taken by the Group for the reduction of direct impacts.

In the fourth edition of the CSR Online Awards Italy 2011, Intesa Sanpaolo has been awarded "Best Improver", ranking 9th with a score of 71.5/100 and climbing the rankings by 11 places since the 2010 edition.

Newsweek 2011 – Green Rankings
Once again Intesa Sanpaolo held its position among the top global companies with regard to the environment.  Intesa Sanpaolo was classified 57th at world level and 4th in Italy within the category of the 500 biggest companies in the world in terms of turnover:  these achievements are increasingly indicative of our commitment to safeguarding the environment.

Mediocredito Italiano, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group bank specialized in business development, receives the Green Project Financed, award given by the classification and certification society RINA, for projects and initiatives which in 2011 were particularly significant in the area of environmental sustainability.
The awarded project is Green Ship, designed by specialists of Mediocredito Italiano to support shipowners' investments to improve ship performance in terms of environmental impact.

Intesa Sanpaolo receives the HR Innovation Award, the prize awarded to the most outstanding companies in innovating Human Resources management and development processes, thanks to the Training Department activities, engaged in the Learning Experience Design project by the end of 2010 , which has the goal of shifting the focus from the ability to deliver courses to the ability to design and bring into effect rich and involving learning experiences.


During the 5th edition of the Green Globe Banking Conference “Il ruolo del sistema bancario per sostenere i consumi sempre più verdi”  (“The role of the banking system to support more and more green consumption”), held in Milan, the Green Global Banking Award was given to  Intesa Sanpaolo for: a project called “La Finanza verde innovativa” (“The Green Finance innovative”) about the new “sustainable loans”; support for ESCOs (Energy Service Company); the educational project “Ambientiamo”.

The "Recent Graduate Survey", commissioned by Cesop Communication, confirms for the fourth year running that jobs in our bank are among the most sought after by graduates. 153 companies were consulted in this research, the aims of which include the analysis of graduates' expectations in the job market and in particular of the appreciation of the company as the ideal workplace (Best Employer of Choice).

Intesa Sanpaolo is among the winners of the third edition of Premio Famiglia Lavoro (Family and Work award). The competition, organized by the Lombardy Region and
ALTIS (High School of Business and Society at the Catholic University), aims to highlight the most interesting workfamily reconciliation programs in the region. The bank has received the highest award in the category "Best Integrated System of Conciliation", thanks to the multiplicity of institutions, services,projects and initiatives set up with the aim of raising the level of welfare and improve the quality of life of its employees and their families.

 

ET Carbon Ranking
Intesa Sanpaolo received further recognition of its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.  In fact the Group was classified 27th in the ET Carbon Ranking of the Environmental Investment Organisation (EIO).  With reference to only the finance sector in Europe Intesa Sanpaolo was placed 15th, while it came third among all the Italian companies included in the analysis.

Intesa Sanpaolo is the best online bank, in terms of accessibility and use of the site, according to the results of the Third Italian Observatory on e-Business, by eBit Innovation and Demoskopea.

The Bank obtains first place in the “Premio per l’innovazione” (Innovation award) promoted by the Italian Banking Association for the category “La banca su misura” (made-to-measure bank) with the project “La banca vicino al cliente” (The bank close to the customer), which includes: personalised service at branches with modular accounts, online services with a virtual branch and mobile services with mobile banking.
